Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser came to the forefront
of Microsoft Edge with a host of features that fell to the likeness of a mute,
memes. Soon , Microsoft redesigned it and rebuilt it on a Chromium basis
Chromium Edge
If the new
Edge browser is based on Chromium, the open source version of Google Chrome,
why would a user using Chrome choose the new Edge? In a Benchmark test on the
VentureBeat website, Intel Core i5-7200U, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, Edge
(Chromium) came out ahead in many ways.
Microsoft was
kind enough to donate to the Chromium project, including battery power saving,
touch support, support for the disabled, ARM64 processor support and more. It
even benefits browsers like Chromium-based Opera.
With the UI in
hand, it brings a whole new experience with big icons and buttons. Because
Chrome is based.Chrome Extensions also works. We'll have Tab Editing in the
near future. The New Tab Page brings a wealth of advantages, including
decorating with photos and news, a reading view, and reading websites, privacy
and security.
Interface, Bing and Google Search
With Edge
Browser turning to Chromium, its box-shaped tabs, UI transparency capabilities,
tab set aside, Buttons show / hide are gone. However, it does support Dark
mode.By default, the Edge browser is Microsoft's own Bing service as the main
search engine, but it can be completely converted to Google Search. But the
search box on the New tab page is dedicated to Bing.As with Chrome, the new
Edge also offers services such as keeping a few profiles, converting websites,
showing the Bookmark bar only in new tab pages, and opening the PDF browser.
Dark Mode for websites and reading aloud
While looking at your computer, you see an article about your favorite
topic. Edge (Chromium) 's Immersive Reading Mode can help you .
When you visit a web site in
English you will see an icon with a book and speaker at the end of the
navigation bar. Enabling Reading Mode also removes ads and makes it easier to
focus on an article.
Clicking on Text Preference, you can change the size of the font and
change the color through the Page Theme. This will allow you to set the page in
dark mode.
You can start reading through Read aloud, and voice options can change
the speed and voice.
New features
The Collection of Researches is scheduled to be added to the Edge
shortly. It gives users the opportunity to create thumbnails of photos,
merchandise and text while browsing the web.
In addition, Reading Mode is expected to include a keyboard shortcut,
Microsoft's payment service, MSPay, and Edge support for older websites,
including IE11 support.
